13: Brain Switch Mixer Setup

Brain Switch Setups

  • Eight different Brain Switch (BS) setups can be set for each IBVA Data Channel ( max 8, CH 1 to CH 4, and coherence).
  • This means a maximum of 24 different setups can be set when using the 2 CH and Coherence IBVA System.
  • A maximum of 64 different setups can be set when using the 4 CH IBVA System.
  • Each BS (Brain Switch) needs to set a LV, HV, LF and HF number to set the power Brain Switch.
  • For coherence, each BS needs to set the L%, H%, LF and HF number to set coherence to the Brain Switch.
  • If the brain peak goes into this range, turn the switch ON to start the switch count. This switch count number shows as a 3D bar graph and number in the " 3D Water Fall BS Mixer" window. This number will be used for playing MIDI sound, to control AV (not yet implemented), and to send this information to other machines as MIDI data.
    • Select target IBVA Data
    • Type a number or move the slider for each BS. You can use only one BS or use any of those.

    * the power slider move is 0 to 20 µV., but you can type a number in the power field from 0 to 100 µV.
    *the frequency slider move is 0 to 45 Hz. but you can type a number in the "frequency" field from 0 to 60 Hz.

    This image shows how to make a BS with graph editing in the "Brain Note" window.
    Then the BS attribute appears in the "Brain Switch Inspector" window.
    Then it shows that BS attribute in the "Brain Switch Mixer Setup"
    Then the BS attribute number shows in the"3 D Water Fall BS Mixer" window.
    Currently BS 5 is selected in the "Brain Note" window1.
    In case you move or change this BS in the "Brain Note" window, then information in all the other windows will change.
    2 D graph in the "Brain Note" window is simplify graph as "2 D Bar Graph" window.

    The BS 3 D flashing object in the "3 D Water Fall BS Mixer" window. Currently BS5 is selected in the "Brain Note" window.
    If you move or change this BS in the "Brain Note" window, then all other window information will change, and the BS 3 D flashing object in the "3 D Water Fall BS Mixer" window will move or change.

    This image shows how the BS count makes MIDI data for connect MAX application "MIDIChannelLED2.
    After setup on all Brain Switches, the "3 D Water Fall BS Mixer" window shows the BS count 3 D Bar movement that depends on how many times the switch goes to ON for each BS. Max. BS count is 64.
    0 mean no switch was ON in that 3 D Water graph time.
    64 mean always switch was ON in that 3 D Water graph time.
    This BS count information was translated in the "Brain rhythm MIDI" window.
    Each BS count information will translated into different MIDI channel with Pitch and velocity data.
    IBVA Data CH 2 BS count data BS 1 to BS 8 will transfer to MIDI CH 8 to 16.
    IBVA Data CH 1 BS count data BS 1 to BS 8 will transfer to MIDI CH 1 to 7.
    Then "MIDIChannelLED2" MAX application receive this MIDI Data to display LED movement.
    Within MAX and/or other application, system can use this BS information to do many thing, such as control Quick Tme movie, composing music, control lighting and Laser system, control Laser hologram image, control 3 D animation, etc.
