Dear Rachel,

I'm so sorry to hear this. I was friends with Doug when I was at the Art Institute in San Francisco; we met through Hudson Marquez, a dear old acquaintance of mine from New Orleans. Please pass on my deepest sympathies to Hudson and all who loved Doug. Do you mind if I ask what happened? He was so young! I'm so, so sorry.

We will do an editor's choice on Doug and Ant Farm in conjunction with the Berkeley show in the spring 2004 issue of BOMB.
