| "I prefer drawing to talking.
Drawing is faster, and leaves less room for lies." I was just sticking it in the file when I remembered that I used to send them to Doug tillone day he wrote back , "ENOUGH WITH THE RANTING OF A BUNCH OF OLD DEAD GUYS SEND ME SOME NEW IDEAS!!" A couple of weeks later he "scored some good ink" with an interview and a long article about Doug and Ant Farm and sent it to me. As a joke I lifted the following from the article and sent it back to him. I just found it in my file as I was adding Corb's thought. Its classic Doug the quote machine. I just thought with all the words you've read in the last few days a few of his own would be appropriate. |
"Between concept and construction exists a fluid world... new architectural ideas weave thru a complex landscape of money and media, culture and fame, technology and creativity en route to the Future....Ideas, like humans require a "gestation period" along the road to reality,... this concept-incubation phase may take many months or many decades depending on the complexity of the idea..." doug michels 2001 |
