Humans and dolphins floating
In 1976 Michaels said, "While others are attempting to break the language barrier of Dolphinese by studying the dolphins in holding tanks, our goal will be to exchange the information, energy, and mythologies of our cultures."

That "brain wave chick" and webmaster of the Doug Michels Tribute Site

For me Doug is a virtual colleague who vibrates on the same frequency that I do. Dolphins brought us together in CyberSpace. An understanding of the origin of dolphins, their non-verbal communication and intelligence were common threads we shared.

My reality converges ten years in the future; Doug could see farther. We talked of a future art collaboration.

One night he had written a female brain wave musician into a screenplay he was writing.

The next day he received the first email communication from “That Brain Wave Chick,” which I am called. He telephoned me right away from Houston.

We proceeded to have extraordinary communications in CyberSpace. I was so looking forward to meeting Doug in real time and am shocked by the news I received today. I am overwhelmed with sadness. I feel I have known Doug forever.

Though he will not be with us in real time on the 29th, I know he will be there virtually. I also know that he and I will continue CyberCommunications, and that the vision we shared of a future project will actualize in ten years.
