Doug Michels StudioDoug Michels Studio is an international design firm providing a wide range of creative services to corporate clients, cultural institutions, and private individuals. In addition to independent architecture commissions, the Michels Studio accepts concept design assignments from architecture firms, developers, ad agencies, production companies, and communications conglomerates. The vision that Doug Michels shared blended integrity and creative freedom to inspire new dimensions of design excellence. Upon graduation from Yale University School of Architecture (M-Arch '67), Michels cofounded Ant Farm dersign group ('68-'78), and original works as Cadillac Ranch, Media Burn, and the House of the Century in Texas. After working as a senior designer in the office of Philip Johnson, Architect ('79-'82), Michels was awarded a GSD Loeb Fellowship for advanced post-graduate studies at Harvard University ('85-'86). Established in 1986, Doug Michels Studio has gained a global reputation for innovative architecture and ideas. During his distinguished career, Michels ideas and award-winning architecture have been published extensively (Domus, Rolling Stone, Esquire, NYT, A+U, CITE, Metropolis, The Futurist) and exhibited at The Library of Congress, CAM, MOMA, Muses of Art Moderne, SF Museum of Modenr Art, AIA Octagon Museum, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art.
