Michels' vision for architecture was based on his understanding of the architectural needs of the future. Some would say this vision is of a far future; others would argue that the future Michels perceived is about to unfold. Doug said that "The greatest force on earth is an idea whose time has come..." Designs from The Studio came from his knowledge of the place "where science and imagination converge to create architecture of new millenial grace."
