Brain wave signals were monitored using the IBVA, Interactive BrainwaveVisual Analyzer System.

Before starting the Chi Kung practice, Keith's brainwave activity was monitored. The frequencies are high, indicating more agitated neural activity. Amplitudes of the signals are high, as indicated by the magenta on the graph
.

Keith's brainwaves after practicing Chi Kung. Frequencies of the signals have slowed down, and velocities of the signals have lowered. These changes in brainwave activity indicate that the neural activity has calmed down. One could speculate that Keith's attention became more focused with greater clarity of thought.
